Module 1 - OASIS Overview
This module provides a backdrop for OASIS-C. Additionally, the module will cover reports generated by OASIS and will delve into the process measures new to OASIS beginning January 2010. Special attention will be given to OASIS time frames, critical actors related to OASIS and ideas for operational success in the OASIS-C home health care environment.

This module closely examines how to accurately answer OASIS questions and apply CMS guidance to Clinical Record Items as well as Patient History and Diagnosis Items, including appropriate clinicians to complete various OASIS assessments and time frames for this process. Additionally, participants will have information related to various OASIS items which impact patient outcomes as well as agency payment.

Module 3 - OASIS Item Accuracy: M1100 & M1200s
This module examines special considerations related to describing the patient's living situation including residential living situation and the availability of another person to assist the patient with his or her needs. Additionally, special instructions are provided to accurately answer OASIS items related to sensory status including the patient's ability to see, hear, understand and comprehend what is spoken, verbally express ideas and feelings, and identify pain. Assessment tips are provided to remind clinicians of strategies to ascertain the most accurate portrayal of the patient's sensory status.

Module 4 - OASIS Item Accuracy: Integumentary Status M1300s
This module provides guidance to clinician assessors on the integument-specific questions in the Oasis-C Data Set. Special attention is given to answering OASIS items related to pressure ulcers, stasis ulcers and surgical wounds. Case studies are presented to further enhance learning.

Additionally, guidance is provided related to accurately answering items linked to neuro, emotional, and behavioral status, including best practice assessment and reporting strategies. This module provides information to help improve the accuracy of OASIS answers and apply CMS guidance to OASIS items related Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), prior functioning with ADLs and IADLs and Fall Risk Assessment. Assessment strategies are reviewed to assist clinicians in obtaining the most accurate determination of the patient's ability related to ADLs and IADLs, and the patient's risk for falling. Participants will receive information related to various OASIS items which impact patient outcomes as well as agency payment.

Module 7 - OASIS Item Accuracy - M2000 - M2040
This module examines special considerations related to assessing the patients ability to take his or her medications. CMS guidance is presented to assist the clinician in answering the OASIS items related to medication management. Drug regimen review requirements are presented as well as suggestions for management of high-risk drugs and contacting the physician to report identified medication issues. Assessment tips related to medication management are provided to assist clinicians in ascertaining the most accurate portrayal of the patients ability to independently manage medications as well as strategies to prevent medication errors.

This module is designed to examine supply management and to improve tracking supplies within an agency. Information is provided to assist the clinician in differentiating between routine and nonroutine supplies and the reasons to closely track both. This module is designed to examine therapy documentation principles and assist the clinician with OASIS accuracy. The reasons for and impact of external scrutiny of therapy visits is discussed. CMS guidance and therapy practice manuals are used to guide the clinician in appropriate documentation related to therapy visits and patient goal setting. Scenarios are utilized to enhance participant's understanding of documentation principles.
